  • Bungie will be testing server stability throughout the Beta, which may cause error codes to appear periodically
  • Location names sometimes do not appear during Crucible gameplay
  • Players sometimes are Kicked to Orbit after witnessing a black screen when entering a Countdown match
  • Players may sometimes be placed at the beginning of the Inverted Spire Strike Activity when joining in progress
  • Sandbox balancing is still taking place: Some weapons or abilities may have higher or lower damage than intended
  • Not all content has been localized in all languages
  • If you encounter any network related issues during the Destiny 2 Beta, please follow our Network Troubleshooting Guide to ensure proper network settings for Destiny gameplay.

If you encounter alternate issues not listed above, please post a report to the #Help forum. For all other information, please see the Destiny 2 Beta Guide.

How to get the Abbadon and Nova Mortis post Dawning

Both these weapons were introduced as part of The Dawning event but are still available to collect. These are basically the Void and Solar versions of the Thunderlord.

Originally you had to level up your book to get Xur’s Tag to unlock Xur’s gift at the tower and get the Tattered schematic which you then had to turn into Ikora Rey to unlock the Exotic Quest “Songs from the Void” for the Nova Mortis. Once you completing the Nova Mortis quest, go speak to Commander Zavala to unlock the quest for the Abbadon.

Claim your free stuff if you bought a PS Vita before June 2012

Late last year Sony agreed to settle with the Federal Trade Commission over claims that it falsely advertised the PlayStation Vita console at launch. Anyone in the U.S. who purchased the handheld prior to June 1, 2012 is entitled to $25 cash or one of three different game bundles. Eligible purchasers must complete the process before June 30, 2015 in order to claim their goodies.

Consumer complaints alleged that early ads for the PlayStation Vita urged purchase based on features that were not available or never came to fruition. Remote playing PlayStation 3 games, playing online multiplayer games over a 3G network and extensive PS3/Vita cross-saving were touted but never materialized in a satisfactory fashion.

Eligible claimants can select from three options.

  1. A $25 check.
  2. $25 in Play Station Network (PSN) credit.
  3. One of three different game bundles.

So how do I stake my claim?

  • If you received the following email, simply follow the instructions.
  • The page at https://vitaclaims.com will ask prequalified customers for their PSN ID and Vita serial number. If your serial number has faded, you can hook your Vita to a computer and look under properties.
  • If you do not receive an email and believe you qualify for free stuff, there’s a form that you can fill out and mail to the claims administration folks in order to be added. Fill out the form here.

Here’s the letter you would have received:

CASH BACK OR MERCHANDISE OFFER FROM

SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA LLC

Dear Customer:

Our records show that you purchased a PlayStation Vita handheld game console prior to June 1, 2012. The Federal Trade Commission has alleged that some SCEA advertisements for the PlayStation Vita during this period were deceptive. Although SCEA neither admits nor denies liability in connection with this matter, SCEA has agreed to settle the dispute with the Federal Trade Commission by offering either cash back (or credit on your PSN account) or merchandise to customers who purchased a PlayStation Vita before June 1, 2012, and who have not returned the product for a full refund.

Accordingly, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to receive a check for $25 (or a $25 credit on your PSN account). Alternatively, you are eligible to receive a merchandise voucher that you can use to select from a list of merchandise, video games and/or services. The selection of merchandise, video games and/or services that are available through this offer has a retail value of $50 or more.

You are eligible to receive either a check for $25 (or a $25 credit on your PSN account) or a merchandise voucher, but not both. For details of each offer and to make your choice of the $25 check (or credit) or the merchandise voucher, please click here.

You MUST complete and submit the information requested in the above link by June 30, 2015 to be eligible to receive the $25 check (or $25 credit on your PSN account) or merchandise voucher worth $50 or more. Please be assured that your acceptance of this offer does not obligate you to purchase anything.

For more information on our settlement with the Federal Trade Commission, please visit www.ftc.gov and search for “Sony Computer Entertainment America.”

If you have any questions, please call Sony Computer Entertainment America claims administration at 1-800-410-5484.

Destiny Dead Ghosts

Finding and reviving Dead Ghosts as you venture in the Destiny Universe,  will unlock Grimoire cards that add to your Grimoire points. The Grimoire cards each hold a snippet of lore relating to the Destiny universe that can be read over at Bungie.net or on the free companion app. When you collect all 50 of them, you’ll unlock the Ghost Hunter Trophy / Achievement.

Ghosts in the Tower

  1. In the Tower, go up the stairs to the second level on Tower North. There’s a small passage with lights and crates near the overlook. The ghost is on top on the crates along the wall.
  2. Travel down the path to Tower North. Exiting out of the passage, look to your left down the steps for a bridge leading to another tower. Go to the area the Speaker is in, to your left is the ghost in the library nook.
  3. From the spawn point, go down the stairs straight ahead to reach the Hall of Guardians. Enter the large room at the end of the hall with the table, and swing right as you pass through the arch. There’s a corner with a desk and some crates. The ghost is on the desk. (This ghost was moved in 2.0 but should still be in the same area.)
  4. Inside the Tower, go through the massive doors that only opens during an Iron Banner event, up the stairs and straight forward from the spawn. When they do open, search along the balcony railings on the right side to find the ghost.

Minecraft to get Story Mode in 2015

Telltale Games has announced on its blog that it’s working with Minecraft developer Mojang to create a series of games set in the world of the hit franchise.

Minecraft: Story Mode will be an all-new narrative-driven game series developed by Telltale in collaboration with Mojang. Set in the world of Minecraft, the series will feature an original story, driven by player choice. It will not be an add-on for Minecraft, but rather a separate stand-alone product that will premiere in 2015 on consoles, computers and mobile devices.

Telltale has made games in the Walking Dead, Back to the Future, and Game of Thrones universes, to name a few.
