Apple releases regular system updates for their devices and it recommended that owners keep up to date with these updates as they mainly come with security and bug fixes as well as new features. If you own an Apple device and are not sure how to do this, this post is for you, keep in mind that this tutorial will also work for your iPhone and iPod touch.
Checking for updates
- Tap on Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Software Update
The OS will run an update check and will inform you if there are any that require installing.
Should there be an update the Software Update window will provide the update with a Learn More link to read what’s included.
- Tap Download and Install (you may require a reboot if it’s a major update)
That’s it, you are all updated. Easy isn’t it?
